Kryt Group is in the early planning and structuring phase for a solar mini-grid and battery energy storage programme in Kenya, aligned to the country’s Sustainable Energy Goals 2030.
The project will adopt the same mini-grid model being piloted in Mongala Province, DR Congo, pairing distributed solar generation with battery storage rather than a single centralised farm. The number of sites and total capacity have not yet been finalised.
A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) will be established in Kenya in partnership with qualified local stakeholders prior to financial close and construction commencement.
